What would happen if the choices in art were determined at random?

That is question that Erin Prais-Hintz pondered to create this new exhibit. To create this show, she was inspired by, and paid tribute to, three master artists: Ellsworth Kelly, Anni Albers, and Yayoi Kusama. Mosaics are a powerful artform in showing the collective (the accumulation of many parts to make a whole), the definitive (once a tessera is placed it is permanent and lasting), and the reflective (not only in choice of material and facets made by cutting, but also evokimg contemplation on a concept). She believes that art is an elevated form of play, and this exhibit includes two opportunities to be a part of the art by adding your mark to a communal art experience.
